Nov.  21                  Elementary Grandparents Day / EARLY RELEASE FOR HOLIDAY ~ car riders 12:45 and busses @ 1:00

Nov. 22-24              NO SCHOOL ~ THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY

Nov. 29                   EARLY OUT TEACHER IN SERVICE ~ Car Riders @ 1:45; busses @ 2:00 / Career Fair 3-5 grades

Dec.  18                  Elem Christmas Movie day field trip ~ $5.00 for movie, popcorn and drink…permission slip will come home soon

Dec. 19                   Elem Christmas Party Day

Dec. 20                   Book Talk day and Early Release day….. Car Riders leave @ 12:45; busses leave @ 1:00

Dec. 21-Jan 3         NO SCHOOL ~ CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY ~

    • Grandparents Day is Tuesday, NOVEMBER 21st.  All guests will have to buy a breakfast ticket when they get here that morning.  There will be ticket sales at front cafeteria entrance and back office entrance.  Breakfast for all visitors is $2.00.  We ask that when we make the ALL call over the intercom to go to a younger sibling or family members classroom that all guests and all other siblings, cousins, friends or relatives that want to eat together will then go to the youngest child’s classroom.   Please relay this message to your other invited guests before they get here so they don’t get confused……
    • NOTE TO LEAVE EARLY FOR GRANDPARENTS DAY:  Your student can go home for the day with their Grandparents and it not be counted against their attendance.  If you want your child to go home with a grandparent or other visitor please send a note with them to avoid confusion. 
    • EARLY OUT DAY:  We will dismiss school early on this day to jump start our holiday.  All car riders will dismiss at 12:45 and busses will leave campus at 1:00 on this day. 
    • ALSO….. The Scholastic Book Fair will also be open on this day so Grandparents can take their kiddos and let them shop before they leave.
  • NEXT EARLY OUT DAY FOR NOVEMBER TEACHER IN SERVICE:  Wednesday, November 29th is the next EARLY OUT for Teacher in Service. The schedule is Car riders dismiss at 1:45 and busses leave at 2:00.
  • BOSTON MOUNTAIN RURAL HEALTH CENTER:   We want to welcome the Boston Mountain Rural Health Center to our community!  The Health Center is now open for business.  It is located across from Nemo Vista Elementary on Catholic Point Rd.  Office hours are as follows: Monday – Thursday 7:30-5:15; Friday: 7:30-11:45; First appointment will be at 7:45 and last appointment will be taken at 4:30.  They close for lunch from 12-12:30 daily.  Any questions you can call the clinic at 501-893-6197
  • SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIRThe Elementary/Middle School library will hold its annual book fair November 27th through December 1st. Parents are welcome to come shop anytime from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The book fair will also be open on Grandparent's Day.  Please, NO CHECKS, but debit/credit cards are accepted.  If you would like to volunteer to help work our Scholastic Book Fair one day, please email lketchum@nemo.k12.ar.us, or call Mrs. Ketchum at the school, 501-893-2435. 
  • PTO RAFFLE:  We still have almost a month left for you to get in on the fun and help support the PTO selling raffle tickets and also help your child's class win a pizza party! Here is a list of books that have been sold in each class as of right now. Mrs. Brown-12, Mrs. Andrews-15, Mrs. Smith-6, Mrs. Poteete-7, Mrs. Paladino-11, Mrs. Freeman-20, Mrs. Hall-3, Mrs. Garrett-22, Mrs. Millsap-10, Mrs. Prince-18, Mrs. Nichols-3, Mrs. Hartman-26. If you would like to get in on the fun and didn't send a permission form back, please call the office and we will get on to you. If you have any raffle tickets sold please send them in so we can get another count on them for next week. The PTO would like to THANK YOU for all of your support!!!  FIRST PRIZE: Trail Master 150 UTV Side by Side; SECOND PRIZE: Day at the Bay at Ozark Mt. Lake Resort w bowling, mini golf and pontoon rental; THIRD PRIZE:  $200 Gift Cert. @ X-Treme Bounce Houses of Conway & Urban Air; FOURTH PRIZE: 45 Qt. green YETI Cooler; FIFTH PRIZE:  45 Qt. white YETI cooler; SIXTH PRIZE:  Weed Eater Red May; SEVENTH PRIZE:  Stone Fire Pit; EIGHTH PRIZE: CVA 209 Wolf Black on Black 50 Gal.; NINTH PRIZE:  $150 Cash
  • YEARBOOKS FOR SALE:  If you order your yearbook from October 31- December 31 its $34 and from January 1st – February 16th (the absolute deadline) the yearbook will cost you $38.
  • EARLY OUT SCHEDULE FOR REST OF YEAR:  November 21(early out @ 1:00 for Thanksgiving holiday) , November 29th teacher in service early dismissal schedule,  December 20 (early out @ 1:00 for Christmas Holiday), January 31st teacher in service early dismissal schedule, February 28th teacher in service early dismissal schedule, March 28th teacher in service early dismissal schedule,  April 25th teacher in service early dismissal schedule
