  • SCHOOL BOARD RECOGNITION / APPRECIATION MONTH:  January is School Board Recognition and Appreciation month.  Nemo Vista Schools would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to our present board members; Jenifer Andrews - President, Mandy Cates – Vice President, Melissa Eller – Secretary, Freddie Kirtley, Andy Isely, Fred Givens, and Olivia Baker.  Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to Nemo Vista School District, the parents, students, faculty and staff is truly appreciated.  We are all so grateful for their service to our District.  Be sure to thank your Board Members when you see them out and about.

  • INCLEMENT WEATHER ALL CALL:  You will receive a call from the Admin phone # 893-2925 in case of no school or delayed bus routes.  If you do not understand the call you can have the message repeated by pressing the number they say to press.  Most of us get texts too.  AMI (ALTERNATIVE METHOD of INSTRUCTION) PACKETS:   Please read the letter from Mrs. Virden that was attached to the snow day homework packet sent home in September.  It informs you that your child will be responsible for this work in case of an unexpected day off from school for whatever reason.   PLEASE KEEP THIS PACKET OF HOMEWORK IN A SECURE PLACE AT HOME WHERE THEY CAN BE EASILY LOCATED AND THE WORK COMPLETED.  Call the office if you need further information.

  • KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION:  We will have Kindergarten registration for the 2019-20 school year ALL week the week of MARCH 11-15TH FROM 8:00 – 4:00.  Your child must be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2019.  Birth Certificate and proof of residency are mandatory to register your child.  A copy of the child’s social security card is also needed. We will have to have a copy of your child’s updated shot record and a kindergarten physical before school starts in August.
  • PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION: Lil Hawks Preschool will hold its registration for the 2019-20 school year ALL WEEK THE WEEK OF MARCH 11TH – 15TH FROM 8:00 – 4:00. There are over 30 slots available for the 2019-20 school year.  We feel we will be able to place EVERYONE; 4 AND 3 year olds; BUT we want you to know that if slots become limited we will place ALL 4 year olds first and then rely on screening results for 3 year old placement and you will have to bring your 3 year old with you when registering so they can be screened that day. A proof of residency will be required along with Birth Certificate, Soc. Sec., shot record, and tax records or pay stubs if you are applying for the ABC program. If you do not live in our district you will placed at the bottom of the preschool list until the end of registration. Then if there are slots left you will be placed. Call the office for further information.

  • VALENTINES DAY EVENT DAY FUNDRAISER: Nemo Vista Elementary is selling Valentines again this year.  Order forms will come home next week and will go home each week until Valentine’s Day.  You may order until noon Wednesday February 13th.  You can send your orders and money to school with your child. Make sure to put it in a sealed envelope or Ziploc.  We do not fill orders for middle school or high school students. ~ REMEMBER PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS AND LOVED ONES ~ Nemo Vista School policy states there are absolutely no outside gifts or deliveries allowed on campus (K-12) for Valentine’s Day.  NO Balloons allowed.  All proceeds from this elementary fundraiser go toward providing medals, trophies and plaques for our Accelerated Reader Rewards program, and other A/R rewards like our Splash Day activities. ]
