Nov. 20       Grandparents Day Program in new Gym @ 9:00...due to large numbers there will not be a Breakfast Program in café.


  • BREAKFAST BUNCH: If you received a letter inviting you to eat breakfast with your child for being chosen as a Character Kid reward we ask that you park in the front of the elementary and enter thru the cafeteria doors on TUESDAY OCTOBER 16TH.  Bring your student with you that morning by 8:00 and Mrs. Barnhardt will be there to greet you.  YOU DO NOT NEED TO COME TO THE OFFICE TO SIGN IN BECAUSE YOU WILL PARK AND ENTER THROUGH THE CAFETERIA DOORS TO EAT AND THEN LEAVE THROUGH THE SAME DOOR. 
  • AMI (ALTERNATIVE METHOD of INSTRUCTION) PACKETS:  Your child brought home their 2018-19 AMI packet last week.  If you did not get one for each child you need to call the office or send a note to your child’s teacher.  Please read the letter from Mrs. Virden instructing you about these packets informing you that your child will be responsible for this work in case of NO SCHOOL for whatever reason.   PLEASE KEEP THESE IN A SECURE PLACE AT HOME WHERE THEY CAN BE EASILY LOCATED AND THE WORK COMPLETED.  Call the office if you need further information. 
  • THANK YOU:  A GREAT BIG Thank You to Chief Danny Coffman and members of our Center Ridge Volunteer Fire Dept. along with the United States Forrest Service featuring Smokey the Bear for coming Wednesday to talk with our PreK- 2nd grades about Fire Safety, let them all check out the Fire Trucks and visit with Smokey the Bear!  They passed out some awesome treats to our kiddos and gave them a great program.  When you see them make sure to tell them how much we appreciate their vital service to our community.
  • THANK YOU:  A great BIG thank you all to our wonderful Elementary Teachers and staff who organized, decorated and participated in the Family Math and Science Night activities last week.  It was a HUGE success with a record turnout of parents and visitors.  Thank you all for taking the time to come and have a fun filled educational evening with your child(ren).
  • ANNUAL REPORT TO THE PUBLIC:  We will hold this meeting in conjunction with the Board Meeting scheduled for tonight Thursday October 11 at 6:30.
  • EARLY OUT DAY FOR TEACHER IN SERVICEFOLLOWING IS THE IN SERVICE EARLY OUT SCHEDULE FOR REST OF YEAR:  Wednesday October 31st   ~ because this is 2 hour training Car riders dismiss @ 12:45; busses will leave @ 1:00  Wednesday November 28th, Wednesday January 30th, Wednesday February 27th, Wednesday April 24th   THERE ARE NO EARLY OUTS IN THE MONTHS OF DECEMBER, MARCH OR MAY
  • RED RIBBON WEEK OCTOBER 29TH - NOVEMBER 2ND: Elementary K-5 will participate in the “BE DRUG FREE” Red Ribbon Week.  Your elementary student will NOT have the same dress up theme as high school or middle school.

            MONDAY- Wear Camo Day, TUESDAY- Crazy Socks Day, WEDNESDAY- Book Character Day, THURSDAY- Crazy Hat Day, FRIDAY- Show your Razorback Spirit  

  • HALLOWEEN PARTIES WEDNESDAY OCT. 31ST: As informed in the letter mailed home to all parents and guardians in August, Halloween is now an IN HOUSE party day….NO visitors will be attending this party or Valentine’s Day party at school.  Christmas and Easter Party are the only ones visitors will be allowed to attend. BOOK CHARACTER DRESS UP CONTEST.  If your child wants to dress up AND participate in the BOOK CHARACTER judging contest, they MUST have a book to reflect the costume and be able to tell about the book to be considered a qualifying contestant.  Your child may dress up whether they choose to participate in the contest or not. This is a scheduled EARLY OUT DAY so parties will be right after lunch because car riders dismiss at 12:45 and busses leave @ 1:00 on this day.
  • HARVEST OF HOPE FOOD DRIVE:  Nemo Vista Elementary has been challenged by the Conway County Care Center Board of Directors to collect 125 cans or packages of TUNA to help restock the shelves at the Care Center for the upcoming Holiday season.  We counted today and we have 107 cans so if you plan on giving to this great cause please do so we can hit our goal!
  • YEARBOOK ORDER FORMS:  Order your 2018-19 Yearbook now! Order forms are coming home today.  There are specific deadlines to meet if you want a reduction in the total price.  Oct. 26th is first deadline to meet if you want a book for $30 plus $6 personalization plus 4 FREE icons!
